Welcome to The Lord Leconfield Pony Club

The Lord Leconfield Branch of the Pony Club was one of the earliest branches to be formed and covers the area between Petworth in the West and Billingshurst in the East.  In 2019, The Pony Club celebrated its 90th Anniversary and LLPC celebrated 85 years !

We try to keep a balance between having fun and learning how to ride and look after your pony. Hopefully we achieve this in a friendly fashion, welcoming new members of all ages and also by having teams in many disciplines competing successfully at the Area competitions and going forward to the National Championships, too!

Please take a look around the website and feel free to contact any of the organisers to discuss joining the branch or, if you are already a member, putting your name down to join in a rally or lesson!

For anyone hoping to join us at our Mini One Day Event which was planned for the end of May, we have fallen foul of the weather like so many events so far this year.  We plan to hold the autumn one instead though.  Sorry to disappoint you.

What Other People Say About us

  • I am pleased with Layla and am really looking forward to the Endurance Championships in September and I hope that more people will start competing in this discipline as it is very enjoyable.

    Katie Bedwin
  • We are very grateful to Nick Gauntlett for making the time to come and join us recently for a well attended clinic over two days, allowing nearly thirty members to benefit from Nick’s experience and expertise.

    Nick Gauntlett
  • Ellie Barnwell represented Lord Leconfield in the Pony Club show jumping at Royal Windsor today, 17th May.  They jumped a good round but unfortunately rolled a pole on the last jump!
